The current situation

Captains log,
The past week has offered a lot of challenges, a person from the past showed up on my door step. A past I did not want to revisit, however, I may have no choice to revisit past wounds... perhaps, closure will finally be in store for me. The question is, do I grant his request, to help save those that need it. We are at war with his people, and do I want to put my people at risk, even if it is to gain valuable information. There is a lot to think about before making the final decision.
Lt Commander Price, is on the mend, having been sent on an away mission, exposed himself to the white. Deadly stuff, fortunately, the doc was able to pull him through. However I will be having a talk with the commander about making sure proper precautions are adhered to in further missions. We did get some white, which was distributed to the Jem'hadar, which tides us over for the time being, so something did come out of it.
Speaking of Price, he and commander Stoffels, if I said they were butting heads, that would be an understatement. Her family, one that we helped out before may be at risk. If that is the case... the ship may not be the safest for her family, or for the crew. Being in war with an enemy such as the dominion, we do not need an enemy from within. Luckily, Lt Commander Price has indicated that he will help, but he will also report to Intel about the stoffel family being onboard the ship. Stoffels doesn't like that fact, but Price is an officer, in a field no one likes. He is doing what he needs to regardless, for that... I have to respect, and cannot imagine situations that he must be put in.
With all that said and done, we are headed to the nearest starbase to drop off survivors, POW's, and await on additional orders. With Information coming in the morning, from the computer search, we may have our lead for our next move. Or several next moves.
With our travel to the nearest starbase two days travel, I will be putting a counselling session for everyone involved. Dealing with so much death and injuries, isn't easy, and I have to make sure the crew is at their top shape.
