Something I gotta do

Mission: We are sick of this.
Xavier had one stop after meeting with Milton, one that he wasn't sure how she was going to take, sure going behind enemy lines... was one thing, but to change into one of them at the biomolecular level... it wasn't unheard of, and only happened a few times. He wasn't sure exactly how to explain this.
Sky was at home getting her files and appointments organised while the twins slept, she wanted to speak with Xavier before his departure, but she wasn’t sure when he’d be available. She’d been angry with him before but Tal had a way of making things sound better plus she and Xavier had been married a whole lot longer.
Walking up behind her he wrapped his arms around her. "Boo."
“Boo yourself” Sky smiled. “I knew you were coming, I could feel you.”
"I know." He replied nuzzling her neck. "How are the kids?"
“They’re okay, fed and happy.” Sky smiled. “I owe you an apology, Tal and I had a talk and she’s kind of helped me to see things more clearly. I don’t like you going away, but as your wife I will support you.”
"No apology needed, I don't like it either, but if this helps us gain a little headway... then, it has to be done."
“I know it does, but that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice for it. What if something happens? What if you get injured, or worse!?” Sky gave him a worried look.
"Then something happens. We all take risks, hell, we take risks the moment we step out of bed in the morning."
“Maybe so, but here you’re not far from medical assistance and a security team as well as the whole crew.” Sky paused. “I’m scared Xavier! What if you can’t back to us?”
"First thing is not to think like that. Second... I will always be here, even if not physically."
Sky nodded as she took a deep breath, she needed to be calm. “So when are you leaving? Do you even know how long you’ll be gone?”
"Ill be leaving asap, as for the length of time, I am unsure. Depends on how deep we need to go for the rescue."
Sky nodded. “So once you go it’s radio silence until you need to come home.” She paused. “I’m trying to be supportive Xavier, but I’m struggling with this. I just want to be like Tal, she’s gotten used to you doing what you have to do.”
"Yeah. I know. But tal is one of a kind. Kind of a free spirit. I toned her down quite a bit since her thaw."
Sky nodded offering a smile. “I never thought being a mother would bring out the worrier in me, I guess I just have to get used to it.”
"Once you get used to it, then it becomes a problem." Tal replied as she approached, "My demeaner doesn't mean I don't worry, my faith and trust in his ability to get through this and come back to us, is unwavering. I worry as you do. I have different outlets however."
Sky nodded. “Okay so I find myself some outlets, as a Counsellor I should be able to follow the advice I normally give my own patients. I have faith, especially after everything we’ve all been through over the years we’ve been together onboard this ship. Hell you both stopped me from going crazy after my hostage ordeal, this is home and this is where I’ll be waiting for you to come back.”
"And I will be back." Xavier assured her. "Now, lets go to bed I go see the doc in the morning."
Sky nodded in agreement. “We’re going to make this a night you won’t forget, something to remember us by as you wing your way away from us.”
Smiling. "I was hoping you'd say that."
