Mission:
Those who are left behind
Timeline: Federation/Cardassian war
"Since you are being transferred to my division Ensign Carey, here is your new uniform to match us."
Xavier looked up to his father. "I am not intel, or special operations, I wear what I trained for."
"Not a suggestion Xavier. You know you do as I say, no questions. Besides I am officially your commanding Officer." Tyler replied as he sat across from him.
Xavier gritted his teeth, he didn't want to be here, didn't this secrecy that he was obviously going to be involved in. It bothered his father that he chose to join security rather than go into intelligence. "Fine, but once this mission is over... Commander... I am gone."
Tyler looked at his son, "If all goes to plan, things will change for the better for us."
"All going to plan?" Xavier replied as he took the uniform and reluctantly took off his security uniform switching it to the black. "
"There is a reason why we are here, and where we are going." He replied. "Starfleet Intelligence has learned of the location of some very high up targets, that are responsible for the deaths of countless of atrocities happening on our allies. That means we go behind enemy lines. Find and neutralize the threat."
"These targets, what do we know about them."
"Enough to know that if we take them out, it may change the entire outcome in our favour."
Pausing he decided it was best not to answer that anymore. "Whens debrief."
"Two days when we take our shuttle across enemy lines. It has a stealth armour that will enable us to remain undetected."
Xaviers eyes narrowed he was going to protest the lack of information... however he thought twice of it. "Very well. I am going to the bar, sounds like I am going to need it."
Tyler just watched his son leave the quarters. Turned and opened a channel. "Two days Admiral, and we will be at probably our biggest target rich site."
"Very well... has your son agreed to join our cause."
Tyler paused. "He will come around. I did when I needed to. So did my father."
"You are part of a long line of people doing the necessary things. Your son will come to realize that."
"If he doesn't."
"None of your family has ever... they know the consequences..."
Shutting off the link, he lay on the bunk, "They do." He replied. "Two days. Then off to another mission."
