Description Xavier returns to the Galaxy-class USS Resolution and reunites with his family and crew. He wasn't away long, but during his departure he formally relinquished command, leaving behind a new command structure that he himself put into place. His former Executive Officer is now Captain and commanding officer of the Resolution, while his former Chief Medical Officer has become the ship's new Executive Officer. Xavier isn't returning to reclaim the captain's chair.

Mission Summary

<> Following his successful mission to rescue former Cardassian government officials, Xavier returns to the USS Resolution ready to reunite with his family and crew. But while the ship is still home, his place aboard her has changed.

With his former Executive Officer now commanding the Resolution and his former Chief Medical Officer serving as XO, Xavier learns that Starfleet has plans of its own for his future. Promoted to Commodore, he is given command of a newly formed task group, with the Resolution serving as his flagship.

As old habits collide with new responsibilities, Xavier and the crew must adjust to a new command structure while preserving the relationships that made the Resolution more than simply another starship.

The captain's chair may belong to someone else now, but for Xavier, his family, and the crew of the Resolution, the next watch has only just begun.
